Illustration Friday: Trick or Treat v2

Work is very quiet at the moment, so I'm trying to be constructive. Here is another take on "trick or treat". I wonder if you can guess what she is.

The Campaign for Real Bread by Ollo. It's not all that new apparently, the film clip isn't that amazing but it's cute nonetheless, and I have a sneaking suspicion they are riding their bikes around Sydney Park.

Being from Australia and not celebrating Halloween I found this week's topic kind of uninspiring. I did however do my usual trick of drawing the first thing that pops into my head. Enjoy "bat-thing". (I think it looks markedly better if you click on it for the bigger version)

Illustration Friday: Grow

With all the changes and shit going on this year I haven't made any time for Illustration Friday. I found myself inspired after seeing curskineville's lovely MS paint drawings.

This is a bit blah, but, whatever... it's a start.

Redskins are fags

Remember those sugar cigarette lollies that used to be called FAGS, then (one would assume for reasons of political correctness) they changed the name to FADS?

chidhood favourites, Redskins, are also a victim of political correctness and they no longer bear the image of a native American Indian.

Well it would seem that Willy Wonka has embraced his inner fag and is letting the world know it. Check out the packaging for Redskin below.

Friday Afternoon I joined Erika and my workmates at the pub to give her a bit of a send off. She started the same day I did and I felt a very strong connection to her. As soon as she announced her resignation (to start a job with much less pay, but actually helping people) I told her i'd like to take her to dinner. We went out last week and had a lovely time.. blah blah blah.

I realised at drinks that I like all of my new workmates.. so that was a nice realisation. I went home for a quick bite to eat and was at Club Kooky by 9:30. As usual I ran into a lot of my friends and even better, I made some new friends. I danced, I laughed, and I talked a lot of shit.

Saturday I went to Bina's engagement with Chris which was a really lovely day. Her fiancé is such a sweetheart. I'm so happy for them both.

Sunday went to Dank st festival which was a bit of a wank. it didn't take long for me to get sick of that and go to the pub where I was joined by a few friends. Not long after I went to visit Greg with Jackie. We shared a beer before he showed us his rooftop garden. It was amazing. Watching the bats fly across the city at sunset was quite a spectacle.

I was tempted to head to the newtown hotel afterwards but my bed beckoned.

All in all a really good weekend

What we do at work.

BIG WEEKEND.

I was feeling very rough yesterday and today after a very big weekend. Feeling sorry for myself I bought the most disgusting deepfried food I could find (honey chicken) and sat in the sun smsing people as I waited for it to be cooked.

I heard a little commotion behind me but my ears pricked up when i heard the word "cunt".

"You little cunt" The well dressed, blonde, 35yo woman said again as she approached her 5yo daughter and smacked her. "you little cunt".

I couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. I love Woolloomooloo.
